CATARACT PROJECT

Cataract project aims to help many elderly people who suffer from cataracts. In many poor countries in Africa cataract is a condition that elderly home shackles. They lose their self-sufficiency and, as a result of their poor eyesight rely on the help of neighbors, family or (usually) grandchildren. The childeren must help grandma or grandpa and therefore can not attend school. Cataract surgery is a relatively simple procedure that can be performed locally for a small fee: € 70.
